The Founder of Jorizon Education Consulting and President of AICR China. With a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong, Australia, Joy has a proven track record of innovation and leadership in hospitality education. Before founding Jorizon Education Consulting in April 2020 and co-establishing Amazing Experience in March 2023, she worked with Marriott International and the Marriott Family Foundation from 2003 to 2020. Her roles spanned training, human resources, campus relations, and charitable education initiatives.

Joy is highly motivated, with outstanding communication and public speaking skills, and extensive knowledge of project development and management in hospitality, philanthropy, and higher education. Her expertise aligns with her work in the China Hospitality Education Initiative (CHEI), a project of The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation, which aims to enhance hospitality education in China. As the leader of CHEI from 2013 to 2020, Joy developed strategies, recruited team members, and oversaw program implementation across mainland China, fostering relationships with partner schools and hospitality venues.

Her impact is evidenced by CHEI winning the World Travel & Tourism Council’s Tourism for Tomorrow People Award in 2017. Joy’s extensive network within and outside China allows her to drive impactful projects, leveraging her fluency in Mandarin and English. She continues to inspire through her TEDx talk and active presence on WeChat, contributing significantly to the fields of hospitality, philanthropy, and education.
