Orang Asli Community Project

The Orang Asli, the indigenous peoples of Malaysia, possess a wealth of cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, and a deep connection to their natural environment. Despite this rich legacy, their stories and contributions remain largely unknown to the global community. This project aims to bridge that gap by sharing comprehensive insights into the lives of the Orang Asli, highlighting their unique traditions, the challenges they face, and the resilience they demonstrate. By raising awareness and fostering a greater understanding of the Orang Asli, we strive to promote their rights, preserve their heritage, and support their sustainable development.

  1. Global Awareness: Educating the international community about the Orang Asli, their history, culture, and current issues.

  2. Cultural Preservation: Documenting and safeguarding the traditional knowledge, languages, and practices of the Orang Asli.

  3. Rights Advocacy: Highlighting the legal and social challenges faced by the Orang Asli and advocating for their rights on a global platform.

  4. Sustainable Development: Promoting initiatives that support the economic independence and environmental stewardship of the Orang Asli.

  5. Collaboration and Support: Encouraging partnerships and support from global stakeholders, including NGOs, academia, and international organizations.

Jakun People
Urang Jakun / Orang Ulu Initiative

We are excited to introduce this Initiative, a transformative project aimed at improving the lives of the Jakun people, an indigenous community in Malaysia. This initiative is still in its early stages and urgently requires funding to get started.

Objective

 

Community Development, enhance the living conditions and infrastructure of the Kampung Punjut village.

 

Education and Skills Training, provide educational resources and vocational training to empower the Jakun people with skills for sustainable livelihoods.

 

Healthcare Improvement, improve access to healthcare services and promote health awareness within the community.

 

Cultural Preservation, support the preservation of the Jakun people's rich cultural heritage and traditions.

Target Beneficiaries:

 

Jakun People, indigenous community members of Kampung Punjut, including children, adults, and elders.

 

Local Economy, boost the local economy by creating job opportunities and promoting sustainable practices.

 

Future Generations, ensure that future generations have access to education, healthcare, and opportunities for a better quality of life.

Key Initiatives

Infrastructure Development, build and improve essential infrastructure such as clean water supply, sanitation facilities, and community centers.

 

Educational Programs, establish schools and educational programs tailored to the needs of the Jakun children and adults, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and vocational skills.

 

Healthcare Services, set up regular health camps, provide medical supplies, and educate the community on hygiene and preventive healthcare.

 

Cultural Programs, organize cultural events and workshops to celebrate and preserve the Jakun people's traditions, language, and arts.

 

Sustainable Practices, introduce sustainable agricultural practices, eco-tourism opportunities, and other initiatives to promote environmental conservation and economic stability.

To initiate this vital project, we urgently need funds for:

 

Basic Infrastructure, Initial construction of essential facilities like water supply systems and sanitation.

 

Educational Materials, purchase of books, school supplies, and equipment for vocational training.

 

Healthcare Resources, medical supplies, equipment for health camps, and training for healthcare workers.

 

Community Outreach, organizing awareness programs and cultural events to engage and mobilize the community.

 

Project Management, hiring dedicated staff and experts to oversee and manage the project's implementation effectively.
